The spine is the centre from which all forces radiate, and to which they return. Because of its central role in movement, it can be prone to stress, rigidity, and mechanical strain. In this practice, we’ll explore how to unlock movement in the spine through twisting and rotational patterns.
Through a sequence of postures, we’ll investigate how the rib cage, pelvis, and shoulders coordinate to create healthy spinal rotation, while noticing how stiffness and postural habits can interrupt the body’s natural spiralling motion.
